2. | ACCOUNTING POLICIES |
BASIS OF PREPARING THE FINANCIAL STATEMENTS |
REVENUE RECOGNITION |
Turnover is the amount derived from rental activities, stated after trade discounts, and net of VAT. Revenue is |
recognised to the extent that it is probable that the economic benefits will flow to the Company and the revenue |
can be reliably measured. Revenue is measured as the fair value of the consideration received or receivable, |
excluding discounts, rebates, value added tax and other sales taxes. Turnover is recognised per the rental |
agreement terms. |
INVESTMENT PROPERTY |
Investment property is shown at most recent valuation. Any aggregate surplus or deficit arising from changes in |
fair value is recognised in profit or loss. |
PENSIONS |
The company operates a defined contribution pension scheme. Contributions are charged to the profit and loss |
account as they become payable in accordance with the rules of the scheme. |
SHORT-TERM DEBTORS AND CREDITORS |
Debtors and creditors receivable and payable within one year or upon demand are recorded at transaction price |
whether or not a rate of interest is charged on the balance. |

Investment properties are included at a valuation of £168,883 at 31 March 2018 (2017: £168,883). This valuation |
is based on an assessment of open market value of the property as determined by the directors based on a |
review of local property trends. |
6. | RELATED PARTY DISCLOSURES |
At the beginning of the year an associated entity was owed £60,749 by the company. During the year the |
company repaid amounts totalling £11,240 which included interest in the sum of £2,505, an amount of £52,014 |
was owed by the company at the balance sheet date. |
