Chartered Accountants' report to the directors on the preparation of the unaudited statutory accounts of Oxford Estates Limited For The Year Ended 31 March 2018
In order to assist you to fulfil your duties under the Companies Act 2006, we have prepared for your approval the accounts of Oxford Estates Limited for the year ended 31 March 2018 which comprise the Income Statement, the Statement of Financial Position and the related notes from the accounting records and from information and explanations you have given to us.
As a practising member firm of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), we are subject to its ethical and other professional requirements which are detailed at icaew.com/membershandbook.
This report is made solely to the directors of Oxford Estates Limited , as a body, in accordance with the terms of our engagement. Our work has been undertaken solely to prepare for your approval the accounts of Oxford Estates Limited and state those matters that we have agreed to state to the directors of Oxford Estates Limited , as a body, in this report in accordance with AAF 2/10 as detailed at icaew.com/compilation. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we do not accept or assume responsibility to anyone other than Oxford Estates Limited and its directors, as a body, for our work or for this report.

Directors' responsibilities:
-
The members have not required the company to obtain an audit in accordance with section 476 of the Companies Act 2006. -
The directors acknowledge their responsibilities for complying with the requirements of the Act with respect to accounting records and the preparation of accounts. -
These accounts have been prepared and delivered in accordance with the provisions applicable to companies subject to the small companies' regime. - The company has taken advantage of section 444(1) of the Companies Act 2006 and opted not to deliver to the registrar a copy of the company's Income Statement.

Accounting Policies
1.1.
Basis of Preparation of Financial Statements
The financial statements are prepared under the historical cost convention and in accordance with the FRS 102 Section 1A Small Entities - The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland and the Companies Act 2006.
The company is showing net liabilities as at 31 March 2018. The directors have confirmed that they will continue to support the company financially, to allow it to continue its operations. On this basis, the directors consider it appropriate to prepare the financial statements on a going concern basis.
1.2.
Turnover
Turnover is measured at the fair value of the consideration received or receivable, excluding discounts, rebates, value added tax and other sales tax.
1.3.
Tangible Fixed Assets and Depreciation
Tangible fixed assets are stated at cost less depreciation. Depreciation is provided at rates calculated to write off the cost of the fixed assets, less their estimated residual value, over their expected useful lives on the following bases:

Investment Properties
All investment properties are carried at fair value determined annually and derived from the current market rents and investment property yields for comparable real estate, adjusted if necessary for any difference in the nature, location or condition of the specific asset. No depreciation is provided for. Changes in fair value are recognised in the income statement.
