(b) | preparing financial statements which give a true and fair view of the state of affairs of the LLP as at the end of each financial year and of its profit or loss for each financial year in accordance with the requirements of Sections 394 and 395 and which otherwise comply with the requirements of the Companies Act 2006 as applied to LLPs by the Limited Liability Partnerships (Accounts and Audit) (Application of Companies Act 2006) Regulations 2008 relating to financial statements, so far as applicable to the LLP. |

1. | STATUTORY INFORMATION |
Bartfields Business Services LLP is registered in England and Wales. The LLP's registered number and |
registered office address can be found on the General Information page. |
The principal activity of the LLP is that of providing marketing services. |
2. | ACCOUNTING POLICIES |
Basis of preparing the financial statements |
Turnover |
Turnover represents net invoiced sales of services, excluding value added tax, as adjusted for the effect of |
revenue recognition. |
In respect of service contracts, turnover is recognised when the right to consideration has been obtained through |
performance under each contract. Consideration accrues as contract activity progresses by reference to the value |
of the work performed. This complies with UITF Abstract 40 - Revenue Recognition and Service Contracts, |
issued by the ASB. |
Goodwill |
Goodwill which is not amortised, represents the remaining amount paid in connection with the acquisition of two |
businesses in 2008. |
Intangible assets |
Intangible assets are initially measured at cost. After initial recognition, intangible assets are measured at cost |
less any accumulated amortisation and any accumulated impairment losses. |
Hire purchase and leasing commitments |
Rentals paid under operating leases are charged to the profit and loss account as incurred. |

7. | RELATED PARTY DISCLOSURES |
G M A Bell, R S Davidson and D P Miller are all directors in Bartfields (UK) Limited. Bartfields Business |
Services LLP have invoiced marketing services to Bartfields (UK) Limited of £13,883 (2016: £31,779). At 30 |
June 2017 Bartfields (UK) Limited were owed £181,053 (2016: £94,415). |
Bartfields Business Services LLP recharged Bartfields Forensic Accountants Limited for various expenses an |
amount of £5,022. At 30 June 2017 Bartfields Forensic Accountants Limited owed £29,894 (2016 - £4,987). |
G M A Bell, R S Davidson and D P Miller have all personally guaranteed the bank borrowings. |
8. | FIRST YEAR ADOPTION |
For all periods up to and including the year ended 30 June 2016, the company prepared its financial statements in |
accordance with previously extant United Kingdom generally accepted accounting practice (UK GAAP). These |
financial statements, for the period ended 29 June 2017, are the first the company has prepared in accordance |
with FRS - The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland. |
Accordingly, the company has prepared individual financial statements which comply with FRS102 - The |
Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland applicable for periods beginning on |
or after 1 January 2015 and the significant accounting policies meeting those requirements are described in the |
relevant notes. |
