1Accounting Policies

Basis of measurement and preparation of accounts
The accounts have been prepared under the historical cost convention.
Charitable activity income includes receipts from sales of tickets, grants and sponsorship, and is recognised on receipt. Voluntary income derives from donations and Gift Aid, and is recognised on receipt.
Operating costs of charitable activities include artists' fees, venue costs and instrument hire and marketing activities.
Costs are recognised when they occur.
