| Accounting convention |
| The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention and in accordance with the Financial |
| Reporting Standard for Smaller Entities (effective April 2008). |
| Turnover |
| Turnover represents net invoiced sales of goods and services, excluding value added tax. |
| Goodwill |
| Goodwill was the amount paid in connection with the acquisition of the business in 2004 and was amortised evenly over its |
| estimated useful life of five years. |
| Legal and accountancy costs relating to the purchase of the business were split proportionally between goodwill and other |
| assets acquired on acquisition. The costs allocated to goodwill were capitalised under goodwill. The costs relating to the |
| other assets were not capitalised as the amounts were immaterial over each asset. |
