(b)preparing financial statements which give a true and fair view of the state of affairs of the company as at the end of
each financial year and of its profit or loss for each financial year in accordance with the requirements of Sections
394 and 395 and which otherwise comply with the requirements of the Companies Act 2006 relating to financial
statements, so far as applicable to the company.

1. STATUTORY INFORMATION

Wadsley House Social Club Limited is a private company, limited by shares , registered in England and Wales.

2. ACCOUNTING POLICIES

Basis of preparing the financial statements
These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of Section 1A "Small Entities" of Financial Reporting Standard 102 "The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland" and the Companies Act 2006. The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention.

Turnover
Turnover comprises the sales made and income receivable during the year stated net of value added tax, other
than subscriptions which are accounted for on a receipts basis.

Tangible fixed assets
Depreciation is provided at the following annual rates in order to write off each asset over its estimated useful life.
Freehold property - not provided
Fixtures, fittings and equipment - 15% on reducing balance
Crockery, cutlery and linen - 25% on reducing balance

The directors perform annual impairment reviews in accordance with the requirements of the Financial Reporting
Standard for Smaller Entities (effective 2008) to ensure that the carrying value of freehold property and property
improvements is not lower than the recoverable amount. As a result, no depreciation is charged on these assets.

Stocks
Stocks are valued at the lower of cost and net realisable value, after making due allowance for obsolete and slow
moving items.

In the opinion of the directors the value of the company's freehold land and buildings is materially in excess of
the book value shown in the accounts but, in the absence of a professional valuation and the segregation of the
buildings and site values, are unable to state the amount of such excess. The buildings are insured for a
reinstatement value of £1,331,269 at 30th September 2017 (2016 - £1,331,269).
