1. | ACCOUNTING POLICIES |
Accounting convention |
The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention and in accordance with the |
Financial Reporting Standard for Smaller Entities (effective April 2008). |
Turnover |
Turnover represents service charges received from residents. |
Tangible fixed assets |
Tangible fixed assets comprise freehold property and are not depreciated because property is maintained to such |
a standard that it has a high residual value and a long estimated useful economic life. |
Taxation |
The company is a non-profit making enterprise and profits or losses arising as a result of differences between |
service charges levied (based on estimated costs) and actual costs incurred do not fall within the scope of |
corporation tax. Tax is payable on investment income only. |
