The directors present their report with the financial statements of the company for the period ended 31 March 2017

Principal Activities

The company is principally involved in the production of medico legal reports. The company also produces psychological assessments, please mainly are in the area of learning disability, occupational stress and neuro developmental disorders.

Political and charitable donations

The company has made no political donations this year. The company has an ongoing corporate social responsibility programme whereby it carries out work at a reduced rate for clients who otherwise would not have access to justice. It also carries out subsidised psychological assessment reports for individuals who do not plan to use those reports in legal proceedings.

Company policy on the employment of disabled persons

Advanced Assessments Ltd, have a strong commitment to the employment of people with disabilities, black and ethnic minority communities and women.

Additional information

Advanced Assessments Ltd provide services on a national basis in partnership with several leading experts.

1. Accounting policies

Basis of measurement and preparation

These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of Section 1A (Small Entities) of Financial Reporting Standard 102

Turnover policy

The turnover shown in the profit and loss account represents revenue recognised by the company in respect of goods and services supplied during the period, exclusive of Value Added Tax and trade discounts.

Other accounting policies

Research and Development Expenditure on research and development is written off in the year in which it is incurred. Deferred taxation is provided in full in respect of taxation deferred by timing differences between the treatment of certain items for taxation and accounting purposes. Deferred taxation is calculated at the rates of tax that are expected to apply in the period when the timing differences will reverse and has not been discounted.
