Notes to the Abbreviated Accounts
for the Year Ended 31 March 2014

1. ACCOUNTING POLICIES

Accounting convention
The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention and in accordance with the
Financial Reporting Standard for Smaller Entities (effective April 2008).

Turnover
Turnover represents net invoiced sales of goods, excluding value added tax.

Stocks
Stocks are valued at the lower of cost and net realisable value, after making due allowance for obsolete and slow
moving items.

Deferred tax
Deferred tax is recognised in respect of all timing differences that have originated but not reversed at the balance
sheet date.

Going concern
The financial statements have been prepared on a going concern basis, which assumes that the company will
continue to trade. The validity of this assumption is dependent upon the continued support of Cycling History
and Educational Trust, a charity which has loaned funds to this company. If the company were unable to trade
adjustments would have to be made to reduce the value of the assets to their recoverable amount, to provide for
any further liabilities that might arise and to reclassify any fixed assets as current assets.
