1. Accounting Policies

1.1. Basis of Preparation of Financial Statements

The financial statements are prepared under the historical cost convention and in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard for Smaller Entities (effective January 2015).

1.2. Going Concern Disclosure

The Company meets its day to day working capital requirements through a loan provided by a company in which the director has a majority interest. The company expects to operate within this loan facility. On this basis, the director considers it appropriate to prepare the accounts on a going concern basis.

1.3. Turnover

Turnover comprises the invoiced value of goods supplied by the company, net of Value Added Tax and trade discounts. Turnover is recognised when the goods are physically delivered to the customer.

1.4. Tangible Fixed Assets and Depreciation

Tangible fixed assets are stated at cost less depreciation. Depreciation is provided at rates calculated to write off the cost of the fixed assets, less their estimated residual value, over their expected useful lives on the following bases:

1.5. Stocks and Work in Progress

Stocks and work in progress are valued at the lower of cost and net realisable value after making due allowance for obsolete and slow-moving stocks.

Stocks which have been ordered for manufacture but which have not been sent to the company by the year end are treated as prepaid expenditure within debtors.
