For the year ending 30 April 2016 the company was entitled to exemption under section 477 of the Companies Act 2006 relating to small companies. The members have not required the company to obtain an audit in accordance with section 476 of the Companies Act 2006. The directors acknowledge their responsibilities for complying with the requirements of the Act with respect to accounting records and the preparation of accounts. These accounts have been prepared in accordance with the provisions applicable to companies subject to the small companies regime.

1Accounting Policies
Basis of measurement and preparation of accounts
The company did not trade during the year and made neither a profit nor a loss. There were also no other recognised gains and losses for the current financial year. Accordingly, neither a profit and loss account nor a statement of total recognised gains and losses have been presented.
The company has taken advantage of the exemption in FRS 1 ''Cash flow statements (revised 1996)'' from the requirement to present a cash flow statement on the grounds that it is a small company.
Other accounting policies
The company is exempt under section 248 of the Companies Act 2006 from the requirement to prepare consolidated financial statements as the group is medium-sized and is not an ineligible group as defined in section 248.
Investments in subsidiary undertakings
Investments in subsidiary undertakings are recorded at cost plus incidental expenses less any provision for impairment. Impairment reviews are performed by the directors where there has been an indication of potential impairment.

LGH Europe Limited has issued shares in exchange for shares in LGH Verhuur Hijsmaterieel BV
and LGH GmbH in a share-for-share exchange. The company has claimed relief from section 130 of
the Companies Act, and therefore the investment is held at the issued value of shares.
The principal activities of the subsidiaries shown above are the hiring and selling of lifting
equipment and related parts and the offering of maintenance services.
