1Accounting Policies

Basis of measurement and preparation of accounts
The accounts have been prepared under the historical cost convention and in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard for Smaller Entities effective April 2008.

Other accounting policies
Immediate parent undertaking and controlling party:
As at the balance sheet date the immediate parent company of Osterna Limited (formerly Cecil Square Cleaning Co Limited) was Wood Managements Limited.
The parent company of Wood Managements Limited is Simmonds & Partners Limited.
The parent company of Simmonds & Partners Limited is Residential Management Group Limited.

As at the date of approval the immediate parent company of Osterna Limited is Residential Management Group Limited, a company incorporated in England and Wales, with its registered address at RMG House, Essex Road, Hoddesdon, Herts, EN11 0DR.

Residential Management Group Limited is the smallest group within which the financial statements of Osterna Limited are included. At the balance sheet date, the immediate parent company of Residential Management Group Limited was Places for People Ventures Limited, a company incorporated in England & Wales with its registered address at 80 Cheapside, London, EC2V 6EE.

Ultimate parent undertaking and controlling party:
At the balance sheet date and at the date of approval of the financial statements, Places for People Group Limited was the ultimate parent company and the ultimate controlling party of Osterna Limited. Places for People Group Limited is a company incorporated in England and Wales, with its registered address at 80 Cheapside, London, EC2V 6EE

Post Balance Sheet Events:
On 15th June 2016, Wood Managements Limited transferred control of Osterna Limited to Residential Management Group Ltd.

On 16th August 2016,Cecil Square Cleaning Co Limited changed its name to Osterna Limited.
