POLITICAL DONATIONS AND EXPENDITURE

During the year the company made Charitable Donations of £9,427 (2013: £5,950) to Hythe Church .

This report has been prepared in accordance with the provisions of Part 15 of the Companies Act 2006 relating to small

companies.

financial statements of Dawn Creations Limited for the year ended 31st March 2016 which comprise the Income

statement, Statement of Financial Position and the related notes from the company's accounting records and from

information and explanations you have given us.

As a practising member firm of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), we are subject to its ethical and other professional requirements which are detailed at icaew.com/membershandbook.  

This report is made solely to the Board of Directors of Dawn Creations Limited, as a body, in accordance with our terms of engagement. Our work has been undertaken solely to prepare for your approval the financial statements of Dawn Creations Limited and state those matters that we have agreed to state to the Board of Directors of Dawn Creations Limited, as a body, in this report in accordance with AAF 2/10 as detailed at icaew.com/compilation. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we do not accept or assume responsibility to anyone other than the company and its Board of Directors, as a body, for our work or for this report.      

It is your duty to ensure that Dawn Creations Limited has kept adequate accounting records and to prepare statutory financial statements that give a true and fair view of the assets, liabilities, financial position and profit of Dawn Creations Limited. You consider that Dawn Creations Limited is exempt from the statutory audit requirement for the year.    

We have not been instructed to carry out an audit or a review of the financial statements of Dawn Creations Limited. For this reason, we have not verified the accuracy or completeness of the accounting records or information and explanations you have given to us and we do not, therefore, express any opinion on the statutory financial statements.

The company is entitled to exemption from audit under Section 477 of the Companies Act 2006 for the year ended 31st March 2016.  

The members have not required the company to obtain an audit of its financial statements for the year ended 31st March 2016 in accordance with Section 476 of the Companies Act 2006.  

The financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of Part 15 of the Companies Act 2006 relating to small companies.

STATUTORY INFORMATION

ACCOUNTING POLICIES

Basis of preparing the financial statements

These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of Section 1A "Small Entities" of Financial Reporting Standard 102 "The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland" and the Companies Act 2006. The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention.

Turnover

Turnover represents the value of services provided under contracts to the extent that there is a right to

consideration and is recorded at the value of the consideration due. Where a contract has only been partially

completed at the balance sheet date turnover represents the value of the service provided to date based on a

proportion of the total expected consideration at completion.

Where payments are received from customers in advance of services provided, the amounts are recorded as

Deferred Income and included as part of Creditors due within one year.

Depreciation is provided at the following annual rates in order to write off each asset over its estimated useful life.

RELATED PARTY DISCLOSURES

Director

At the Balance Sheet date Mr IG Thomas owed the company £3,066. (In 2015 the company owed Mr IG

Thomas £2,447) The loan has no fixed repayment date. An interest rate of 3% has been charged on the

outstanding balance.

During the year the dividends of £10,625  each in respect of ordinary shares (2015: £19,500 each) were paid to

Mr I & Mrs M Thomas, the company's directors and shareholders.
