1Accounting Policies

Basis of measurement and preparation of accounts
The accounts have been prepared under the historical cost convention and in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard for Smaller Entities effective April 2008.

Other accounting policies
Prior year adjustment
The company has no income or expenditure in its own right, all transactions in the year being related to the maintenance of the common parts in accordance with the lease. Service charges collected are held on trust for the purpose of meeting the relevant costs in relation to the property in accordance with the provisions of section 42 of the Landlords and Tennant Act 1987. Accordingly, the transactions and balance relating to the service charges collected from leaseholders which were included in the company's accounts for the year ended 31 December 2015 or earlier have been removed, and the prior year's figures restated. Information relating to service charges is now dealt with as a separate statement of account.

Bank account
At the balance sheet date the company bank account also contained £2,786 which is held on trust under Section 42 of the Landlord and tenant act 1987. The amount is also shown as a Creditor due within One Year.
