1. ACCOUNTING POLICIES

Accounting convention
The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention as modified by the revaluation
of certain assets and in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard for Smaller Entities (effective April
2008).

Turnover
Turnover represents the value of services provided under contracts to the extent that there is a right to
consideration and is recorded at the value of the consideration due.

Tangible fixed assets
Depreciation is provided at the following annual rates in order to write off each asset over its estimated useful life.

Fixtures and fittings - 15% on cost
Computer equipment - 25% on reducing balance

In accordance with Statement of Standard Accounting Practice No 19, investment properties are revalued
regularly with the aggregate surplus or deficit being transferred to an investment revaluation reserve and
therefore no depreciation is charged in respect of investment properties. The directors consider that this
accounting policy results in the financial statements giving a true and fair view.

Investment property
Investment property is shown at most recent valuation. Any aggregate surplus or deficit arising from changes in
market value is transferred to a revaluation reserve.

Deferred tax
Deferred tax is recognised in respect of all timing differences that have originated but not reversed at the balance
sheet date.
