BASIS OF ACCOUNTING |

The accounts have been prepared under the historical cost convention and in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard for Smaller Entities (effective April 2008).

TANGIBLE FIXED ASSETS AND DEPRECIATION |

Tangible assets other than freehold land and investment properties are depreciated at the following annual rates in order to write off each asset over its estimated useful life.

STOCKS |
| |
Stocks are valued at the lower of cost and net realisable value, after making due allowance for obsolete and slow moving items. Cost includes all direct expenditure and an appropriate proportion of fixed and variable overheads.

PROVISIONS |

Provisions are set up only where it is probable that a present obligation exists as a |

result of an event prior to the balance sheet date and that a payment will be required |

TURNOVER |

Turnover represents sales of goods provided.

FOREIGN CURRENCIES |

Monetary assets and liabilities in foreign currencies are translated into sterling at the |

rates of exchange ruling at the balance sheet date. Transactions in foreign currencies |

are translated into sterling at the rate of exchange ruling at the date of the |

transaction. Exchange differences are taken into account in arriving at the operating |
| |
profit. |
