1. | ACCOUNTING POLICIES |
Accounting convention |
The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention and in accordance |
with the Financial Reporting Standard for Smaller Entities (effective April 2008). |
Turnover |
Turnover represents the total of rents receivable made during the year. The company is not registered |
for VAT. Revenue is recognised upon a monthly basis. |
Investment property |
In accordance with Statement of Standard Accounting Practice No 19, investment properties are |
included in the balance sheet at their open market values. The surplus or deficit on revaluation on |
individual properties are transferred to the investment revaluation reserve. Depreciation is not |
provided in respect of freehold investment properties. The directors consider that this policy, which |
represents departure from statutory accounting principles, is necessary in order that the financial |
statements may give a true and fair view. |
Going concern |
There are no material uncertainties that may cast significant doubt about the company’s ability to |
continue as a going concern. |
