The community benefitted from having a showcase for locally and ethically sourced food and drink. The community also benefitted from the cafe supporting a range of initiatives, from providing a usable community space in the widest sense of the term. Some examples were to facilitate meetings of community groups or members of the community looking to pursue common interests, hobbies or activities. Showcasing social causes of importance for the local community e.g. literacy projects, free sanitary products for women etc.
No consultation with stakeholders
No remuneration was received
No transfer of assets other than for full consideration
