1. Accounting policies
Basis of measurement and preparation
These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of Section 1A (Small Entities) of Financial Reporting Standard 102 Turnover policy
Turnover represents ground rents, rental income for use of Hall, catering commission and sales of Diaries, Badges, Ties, Jewellery and other items. Rental income is recognised on a time apportioned basis and other income is recognised on the provision of goods and services. Tangible fixed assets depreciation policy
Depreciation is provided on a straight-line basis so as to write off the cost of tangible assets over their expected useful economic life. The annual rates used for this purpose are: Furniture and fittings:5 to 10 percent straight line, Computer equipment:20 percent straight line, Plant and machinery:5 to 10 percent straight line, Freehold property:1 percent straight lineNo depreciation is charged on assets not yet brought into use. Any assets which are impaired in value, by reference to their usage or the expected return able to be earned from their continuing use are written down as required. Other accounting policies
