1Accounting Policies

Basis of measurement and preparation of accounts
The accounts have been prepared under the historical cost convention and in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard for Smaller Entities effective April 2008.

2Debtors

Amount due from parent undertaking.

3Called Up Share Capital

The company’s immediate parent undertaking is British Screen Finance Limited. At the balance sheet date the British Film Institute was the parent undertaking of the smallest and largest group of undertakings of which the company is a member and for which group financial statements are drawn up in 2015.
