Consultation with stakeholders

The key stakeholder group is our patients, with whom we have regular consultation. Our directly managed GP Practices each have their own Patient Reference Group (PRG) which meets at least quarterly. These groups provide a direct voice for patients to offer feedback on the services provided and allows us to test out ideas with patients before any changes are fully implemented. We also obtain regular feedback from patients who use the i-HEART Barnsley 365 Services. All patients using the service are given a feedback card in order to rate the service provided, as well as to offer patients an opportunity to provide additional comments about the service. Patient feedback is regularly reviewed and is shared \Vith local commissioners.Patient feedback has been sought during the year on changes to the opening hours of the i-HEART Barnsley 365 Service. We have engaged external organisational input to undertake independent reviews of our service provision e.g. Healthwatch Barnsley have reviewed our GP Practices and questioned patients about the services provided. Barnsley NHS Foundation Trust (BHFNT) has undertaken an audit of the GP Streaming Service and provided feedback and support to our organisation on the positives and negatives found during their audit.During 2019 all our services have been inspected by the Care Quality Commission and we have taken on board the comments raised and enacted changes to ensure the improvements identified have been implemented. We have revised our processes for patient engagement and feedback this year and have developed a more robust process for dealing with and responding to patient complaints, compliments and general feedback. We are committed to continually reviewing and appraising our service provision and always strive to ensure we obtain as much feedback as possible from our patients so that we can continually improve the way in which our services are delivered.
