These abbreviated accounts have been prepared in accordance with the special provisions relating to small companies within Part 15 of the Companies Act 2006 and with the Financial Reporting Standard for Smaller Entities (effective April 2008).

For the financial period ended 31 March 2015 the company was entitled to exemption from audit under section 477 of the Companies Act 2006.

Members have not required the company to obtain an audit in accordance with section 476 of the Act.

1	STATEMENT OF ACCOUNTING POLICIES

	Accounting convention

	The accounts have been prepared under the historical cost convention and are based on accounts prepared in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard for Smaller Entities (effective April 2008).

	Investments

	Fixed asset investments are shown at cost less provision for permanent diminution in value.

	Financial instruments

	Financial instruments are classified and accounted for, according to the substance of the contractual arrangement, as either financial assets, financial liabilities or equity instruments. An equity instrument is any contract that evidences a residual interest in the assets of the company after deducting all of its liabilities.

	Consolidation

	The company is a parent company subject to the small companies regime. The company and its subsidiary comprise a small group. The company has therefore taken advantage of the option provided by section 398 of the Companies Act 2006 not to prepare group accounts.
