Company activities and impact

The organisation operates the historical site of Clevedon Pier and operaties out of the Pier, The Toll House and Waterloo House. An archive is maintained in the latter buildoing.The organisation benefits the local community by:- visitor attraction of the historic pier including a Discovery interactive museum- maintenance of an archive and loans / displays of artefacts to the local community- provision of food and refreshments for visitors via the Pagoda cafe and the Glass Box Restaurant- scheduled events and fun days e.g. Coronation Day, Bank Holiday Fun Days, Children's trails on key dates, Christmas lights and Carols- an education and outreach programme

Consultation with stakeholders

The members of the Company are provided with regular email updates and invited to apply for vacant director posts. This process is formalised with full consultation at the annual general meeting.The Pier Supporter Club members also receive regular updates.The volunteers have a suggestion box scheme and are actively involved in planning and implementation of events.Clevedon Town Council and North Somerset Council have observer representatives on the board of directors, non-voting.
