Company activities and impact
The company runs the Big Onion shop in Staveley. The shop sells locally produced crafts, foods and other goods. During the financial period to 31 December 2022 the shop's activities have benefitted the community in the following ways:- local residents and visitors to the village have been able to purchase locally made crafts and foods which would not otherwise be available- the shop has provided volunteers the opportunity for them to engage with other members of the community and to contribute to the sustainability of the local community- the shop provides an outlet for over 50 local producers of crafts and foods to display and sell their products
Consultation with stakeholders
There is regular communication with our volunteers and suppliers (weekly shoutouts, quarterly newsletters and copies of committee and board minutes)Feedback is encouraged. There is a formal complaints procedure.
