Company activities and impact

Plastic Tactics C.I.C. is for plastic adventures. During the financial year 2021-2022, the company's activities have benefitted the community in the following ways:- Delivered 22 three-hour Plastic Playgroup sessions on a pay-as-you-feel basis- Presented and discussed our work at a Transition Liverpool online event- Encouraged first-year Edge Hill students to meet each other and make items from soft plastic during their student welcome week- Ran a soft-plastics workshop for families at Homebaked CLT Market in Stanley Park's Isla Gladstone- Supported 18 volunteers to engage with the public over two six-hour days at Africa Oye 2022, with support from Neston High School Makerspace, and invested in IT equipment to enable virtual-access to our off-site events.- Exhibited at Liverpool MakeFest 2022- 4 volunteers visited Neston High School Makerspace to support their brilliant work, build connections and share learning- Used the company's marketing channels and visibility, particularly social media, to promote other local community and environmental organisations and messages.

Consultation with stakeholders

The company's primary stakeholders are the volunteers who co-ordinate, plan, and deliver the community events. These volunteers have the opportunity to shape the direction and activities of the organisation.We have open dialogue with volunteers and visitors at the regular Plastic Playgroup sessions, along with irregular meetings both invite-only and public. We also share our work on social media and take feedback from commenters.One example of action taken as a result of consultation is the successful application to the LCR Community Environment Fund to enable us to make plant pots from recycled plastic.
