We provide supported accommodation for up to 22 men and women who are in recovery from drug and alcohol misuse issues. Some of which have been volunteering in the community providing:Several residents support people in active addiction by working at We Are With You, a local drug and alcohol agency. Working in a local rehab as key workersSupporting a local council funded art projectClearing rubbish from local parksHelping out in the kitchen of a local rehabKey working for a local homeless support agencyAdministration/Accounting work for a local rehabWorking with young people at a local boxing clubMany of our residents are students at Weston College, where they are learning skills in order to be able to give back to the community at a later stage. One resident in particular has now gained entry into Weston University to study counselling and plans to support local people with mental health issues.We have had 3 individuals successfully complete their stay with us and, with our support, have found employment and stayed locally in rented accommodation, even in these challenging times.
We regularly review the service through our weekly house meetings, which includes residents. Some outcomes have included:Managing rising household bills (energy costs)Upgrading Wi-FiHouse expectationsStreamlining support for medical appointments and medication managementCrisis managementManaging the Covid-19 lockdown restrictionsProviding therapeutic art groupsThere has been consultation between directors where we have been exploring safe and sustainable measures to tackle the sharp increase in energy costs. There have been no significant actions taken, as yet.

No transfer of assets other than for full consideration
