Report of the Trustees
for the Year Ended 31 July 2022

The trustees who are also directors of the charity for the purposes of the Companies Act 2006, present their report with the financial statements of the charity for the year ended 31 July 2022. The trustees have adopted the provisions of Accounting and Reporting by Charities: Statement of Recommended Practice applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102) (effective 1 January 2019).

OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES
Objectives and aims
The charity is a public benefit entity. The objectives of the charity are to promote, maintain, improve and advance education in the arts amongst children and young people up to 25 years of age to enhance their wellbeing, confidence and self-esteem.

Significant activities
Amasing Workshops

AmaSing Arts delivers exciting and inspiring arts workshops run by professional musicians and arts specialists. The workshops are inclusive to all children and young people regardless of their needs, ability, background, culture, gender or age. We often collaborate with different groups in our workshops such as families, the elderly, adults with learning difficulties. Through the arts we help to build community cohesion and bring together many different groups who otherwise would not get a chance to work together. Our workshops specialise in Music, Singing, Art, Drama, Dance, Creative Writing and Media. We value everyone's contribution in these workshops and celebrate their achievements. We run workshops in schools, educational establishments, community spaces and hospitals.

We also deliver CPD and offer support through a range of activities and involvement. Our workshops offer CPD opportunities and support professional development for teachers and student teachers. They help to develop skills and knowledge to teachers enabling them to deliver Singing, Music and the Arts to the daily school curriculum. The workshops are also open to students in Performing Arts and those who have an interest in Community Arts Projects.

The trustees declare that, when exercising their powers and making a decision to which the guidance is relevant, they have had regard to the Charity Commission's public benefit guidance.

ACHIEVEMENT AND PERFORMANCE
Charitable activities
The COVID 19 Pandemic has had a dramatic impact on our planned activities but led to many other significant achievements. Pre pandemic AmaSing Arts delivered many Arts workshops in Dance, Drama, Poetry and Music, mixing different schools and communities together in the sessions. The workshops were filmed and videos were created to demonstrate the children's achievements which were then showcased during live performances at theatres.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, AmaSing Arts has continued to work with children online, supporting schools and teachers to deliver the Arts, creating music and supporting participants' mental health. We have created over 15 new songs / dances which have been produced professionally and both the workshop films and the music created have been uploaded to our website for the schools, the communities involved and the individual children to access for free. We have seen a growing demand for our online services during the last two years, particularly reaching children in school bubbles and isolating at home whether locally, across the UK or abroad. Recently, we held an online 'Big Sing' which brought over 18,000 children from around the world together. AmaSing Arts also continued to deliver workshops within school bubbles at a variety of locations in its huge 'spiderdome' tent, creating new music, dance and art in them and we have reaching over 70 schools when delivering sessions in this format.

FINANCIAL REVIEW
Financial position
The charity is in a strong financial position to deliver its work and achieve its aims and objectives going forward. Due to the pandemic the charity has not been able to operate to its full extent but this will improve as restrictions continue to lift. Both workshops and resources have been reallocated to next year for projects to be completed should restrictions at the time allow.

We will continue to apply for new funding through grants, donations and sponsorship, building on the successes with fundraising over the last two years which has enabled us to continue delivering our services and achieving our objectives. The growing demand for our services and the overwhelmingly positive feedback which we have received will enable us to apply for further funding which together with other funding already secured will help us to build on the number and range of activities which we are able to offer in the future.

Going concern
There are no material uncertainties about the charity's ability to continue.

FUTURE PLANS
Amasing Arts will continue to:

- Deliver workshops online and once the restrictions allow deliver them in person;
- Support schools and teachers to deliver the Arts;
- Provide CPD opportunities for teachers and student teachers;
- Provide work experience opportunities for young people;
- Work in partnership with schools, children, communities, families, groups and professionals;
- Endorse collaborative working.

We review our aims and objectives annually to assess our achievements and outcomes from the previous twelve months, thus ensuring that we remain focused on our stated mission and on attaining our charitable aims. We continue to take guidance from the Charity Commission and adhere to government directives and guidelines. Monitoring and feedback systems ensure that our range of activities are appropriate to the needs of schools, children, young adults and their families as well as meeting the needs and expectations of the wider community.
