The directors present their report with the financial statements of the company for the period ended 31 July 2021

Principal activities of the company

The principal activity of the company during the period was providing drama workshops and participatory theatre performances to those persons concerned with issues of disabilities in the Richmond community.

Additional information

The company provided one short course of in-person workshops and one performance in partnership with a local organisation and a local park and heritage site during the period. The COVID-19 pandemic prevented us from running our activity as usual and forced us to adapt. We ran 4 courses of online workshops which took place on Zoom with performances on YouTube. We engaged local participants and also people from the wider community in this way, as well as large audiences. We still wish to continue building new local partnerships to engage persons concerned with issues of disability and other persons in our activity, when this is possible again.In March 2021 we received our first funding as a company, from Make London – The Mayor of London’s Culture Team. This was paid into the Director’s bank account as Project Designated Manager and was spent on running the above workshops and weekly in-person workshops once COVID restrictions permitted us to meet with precautions.

Participants reported benefits to their mental health.
