Basis of preparing the financial statements |
Turnover |
Turnover is measured at the fair value of the consideration received or receivable, excluding discounts, rebates, value added tax and other sales taxes. |
Government grants |
Government grants are recognised in profit or loss on a systematic basis over the periods in which the entity recognises expenses for the related costs for which the grants are intended to compensate. In the case of grants related to assets, the grant is recognised as deferred income and released to the profit or loss over the useful economic lives of these assets. |
Taxation |
Taxation for the year comprises current and deferred tax. Tax is recognised in the Income Statement, except to the extent that it relates to items recognised in other comprehensive income or directly in equity. |
Current or deferred taxation assets and liabilities are not discounted. |
Current tax is recognised at the amount of tax payable using the tax rates and laws that have been enacted or substantively enacted by the balance sheet date. |
Deferred tax |
Deferred tax is recognised in respect of all timing differences that have originated but not reversed at the balance sheet date. |
Timing differences arise from the inclusion of income and expenses in tax assessments in periods different from those in which they are recognised in financial statements. Deferred tax is measured using tax rates and laws that have been enacted or substantively enacted by the year end and that are expected to apply to the reversal of the timing difference. |
Unrelieved tax losses and other deferred tax assets are recognised only to the extent that it is probable that they will be recovered against the reversal of deferred tax liabilities or other future taxable profits. |
Hire purchase and leasing commitments |
Rentals paid under operating leases are charged to profit or loss on a straight line basis over the period of the lease. |

7. | RELATED PARTY DISCLOSURES |
Included in other creditors at the balance sheet date are the following balances: |
£Nil (2019: £3,000) owed to The Manor By The Lake (Cheltenham) Ltd; |
£Nil (2019: £500) owed to The Ordnance Depot Ltd; |
Included in other debtors, at the balance sheet date, Measured Media Ltd owed £255 (2019: £255) to the company. |
In the year, the company received fees of £788 (2019: £ Nil) from The Ordnance Depot Ltd and £788 (2019:£Nil) from Eastgate Street Ltd in relation to architectural services provided. |
In the year, the company paid £120 (2019: £Nil) to MRM47 Ltd and £284.40 (2019: £382.48) to Accounts Realtime Ltd for bookkeeping related expenses. |
All of the above companies are related via the common directorship of M Chittenden. The loans have no interest and terms of repayment attached. |
8. | POST BALANCE SHEET EVENTS |
In preparing these financial statements the directors have given due consideration as to whether the impacts upon the business of the COVID-19 pandemic represent adjusting post balance sheet events and are satisfied that they do not. |
9. | ULTIMATE CONTROLLING PARTY |
There is no controlling party in the company. |
