The directors acknowledge their responsibilities for:
(a)ensuring that the company keeps accounting records which comply with Sections 386 and 387 of the Companies Act 2006 and
(b)preparing financial statements which give a true and fair view of the state of affairs of the company as at the end of each financial year and of its profit or loss for each financial year in accordance with the requirements of Sections 394 and 395 and which otherwise comply with the requirements of the Companies Act 2006 relating to financial statements, so far as applicable to the company.

1. STATUTORY INFORMATION

Benyon Properties Limited is a private company, limited by shares , registered in England and Wales. The company's registered number and registered office address can be found on the Company Information page.

2. ACCOUNTING POLICIES

Basis of preparing the financial statements
These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with Financial Reporting Standard 102 "The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland" including the provisions of Section 1A "Small Entities" and the Companies Act 2006. The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention as modified by the revaluation of certain assets.

Turnover
Turnover is measured at the fair value of the consideration received or receivable, excluding discounts, rebates, value added tax and other sales taxes.

Tangible fixed assets
Depreciation is provided at the following annual rates in order to write off each asset over its estimated useful life.
Plant and machinery etc - 25% on cost

Investments in subsidiaries
Investments in subsidiary undertakings are recognised at cost.

Investment property
Investment property is shown at most recent valuation. Any aggregate surplus or deficit arising from changes in fair value is recognised in profit or loss.

Stocks
Work in progress is valued at the lower of cost and net realisable value.

Cost is calculated using the first-in, first-out method and includes all purchase, transport, and handling costs in bringing stocks to their present location and condition.

Pension costs and other post-retirement benefits
The company operates a defined contribution pension scheme. Contributions payable to the company's pension scheme are charged to profit or loss in the period to which they relate.

6. INVESTMENT PROPERTY

Appraisal of the investment properties has been made by the directors on an open market basis. In the opinion of the directors, the open market value as at 31st March 2022 is £2,280,000 (2021: 2,280,000). No depreciation is provided in respect of these properties.

On an historical cost basis these properties would have been included at an original cost of £1,588,196 (2021: £1,588,196).

12. RELATED PARTY DISCLOSURES

At the end of the year the director , Mr E Benyon owed an amount of £180,041 (2021 : £20,270) to the company.

As at the year end as amount of £112,126 (2021: £96,747) was owed from CV Investments Limited, an associated company in which Benyon Properties has a 90% shareholding and Edward Benyon is a director.

As at the year end as amount of £200,163 (2021: £200,305) was owed to Riverside Arches Limited, a company in which Edward Benyon is a director and shareholder. This loan is interest free and unsecured but repayable on demand.

13. ULTIMATE CONTROLLING PARTY

The company was controlled throughout the year by Mr E Benyon , Mrs J Benyon the directors of the company.
