1. Accounting policies
Basis of measurement and preparation
These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of Section 1A (Small Entities) of Financial Reporting Standard 102 Turnover policy
Turnover is measured at the fair value of the consideration received or receivable, net of discounts and value added taxes. Turnover includes revenue earned from the sale of goods and from the rendering of services. Turnover from the sale of goods is recognised when the significant risks and rewards of ownership of the goods have transferred to the buyer. Turnover from the rendering of services is recognised by reference to the stage of completion of the contract. The stage of completion of a contract is measured by comparing the costs incurred for work performed to date to the total estimated contract costs. Other accounting policies
DebtorsShort term debtors are measured at transaction price (which is usually the invoice price), less any impairment losses for bad and doubtful debts. Loans and other financial assets are initially recognised at transaction price including any transaction costs and subsequently measured at amortised cost determined using the effective interest method, less any impairment losses for bad and doubtful debts.CreditorsShort term creditors are measured at transaction price (which is usually the invoice price). Loans and other financial liabilities are initially recognised at transaction price net of any transaction costs and subsequently measured at amortised cost determined using the effective interest method.

COMMUNITY INTEREST ANNUAL REPORT
CHANGE MAKERS PROJECT COMMUNITY INTEREST COMPANY
Company Number: 11485285 (England and Wales)
Year Ending: 31 July 2019
The company exists to exhibit the social history of protest and to enable as wide a number of people as possible who hold archive of such materials to preserve them both physically and digitally. In the financial year 2018-19 we expanded from our London-based exhibitions (at Somerset House, the Youth Culture Archive in Carnaby Street and the LUSH Summit) to take the show on the road at music and other festivals around the UK (Glastonbury, Boomtown, Green Gathering, Shindig and others). This enabled us to outreach to younger people for whom this social history was unknown. We produced a how-to guide on archiving https://historyofresistance.org/archive and distributed this to all contacts we had gathered from previous exhibitions.New groups who we trained in online archiving included Global Womens' Strike and a number of photographers from the labour movement, which was previously under-represented in our archive. We mounted a series of open public archiving workshops at the Bishopsgate Institute in London, enabling a wide range of elderly first-time archivists to digitise photographs and text and to rescue into digital format video from old analogue tape formats. We also enabled the physical archiving of their materials by lodging them safely and permanently at the Bishopsgate Institute. We also carried out archiving workshops at all our exhibitions. Our website went live https://historyofresistance.org
Our principal stakeholders are our archive-holders (ex-activists with precious social history materials) who we have trained to be archivists. We responded to feedback from these groups and individuals to produce our how-to guide on archiving. For instance, one person had in perilous storage in his van a collection of 2000 photographs from the Reclaim the Streets and road protests of the 1990s which he has now begun to digitise.
The total amount paid or receivable by directors in respect of qualifying services was £3000.There were no other transactions or arrangements in connection with the remuneration of directors, or compensation for director’s loss of office, which require to be disclosed.
No transfer of assets other than for full consideration
