Accounting Policies
1.1.
Basis of Preparation of Financial Statements
The financial statements are prepared under the historical cost convention and in accordance with the FRS 102 Section 1A Small Entities - The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland and the Companies Act 2006.
The financial statements are presented in sterling which is the functional currency of the company and rounded to the nearest £.
1.2.
Turnover
Turnover comprises service charges and administration fees receivable from the shareholders of the company.
1.3.
Tangible Fixed Assets and Depreciation
Tangible fixed assets are measured at cost less accumulated depreciation and any accumulated impairment losses. Depreciation is provided at rates calculated to write off the cost of the fixed assets, less their estimated residual value, over their expected useful lives on the following bases:

Maintenance reserve
The company is non profit making and no dividend is payable to members. The company is liable to ensure that certain areas external to the flats and the common parts within the buildings are kept in good repair and decorative order. This includes major redecorative work every few years. The terms of the lease provide that a separate maintenance reserve should be maintained to cover the expected costs and appropriations are made from the profit and loss account for this purpose.
The amount held in the reserve at 30th June 2022 was £109,401.
