Balance sheet statements

For the year ending 31 December 2021 the company was entitled to exemption under section 477 of the Companies Act 2006 relating to small companies.

The members have not required the company to obtain an audit in accordance with section 476 of the Companies Act 2006.

The directors acknowledge their responsibilities for complying with the requirements of the Act with respect to accounting records and the preparation of accounts.

The members have agreed to the preparation of abridged accounts for this accounting period in accordance with Section 444(2A).

These accounts have been prepared in accordance with the provisions applicable to companies subject to the small companies regime.

The directors have chosen to not file a copy of the company’s profit & loss account.

1. Accounting policies

These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of Section 1A (Small Entities) of Financial Reporting Standard 102

Other accounting policies

Fixed Asset InvestmentsInvestments comprise the company's investment in its subsidiary undertaking which is stated at cost less any provision for impairment.DebtorsShort term debtors are measured at the transaction price, less any impairment. Loans receivable are measured initially at fair value, net of transaction costs, and are measured subsequently at amortised cost using the effective interest method, less any impairment.CreditorsShort term trade creditors are measured at transaction price. Other financial liabilities, including bank loans, are measured initially at fair value, net of transaction costs, and are measured subsequently at amortised cost using the effective interest method.TaxationTaxation for the year comprises current and deferred tax. Debt instruments (other than those wholly repayable or receivable within one year), including loans and other accounts receivable or payable, are initially measured at present value of the future cash flows and subsequently at amortised cost using the effective interest method.Debt instruments that are payable or receivable within one year, typically trade payables or receivables, are measured initially and subsequently, at the undiscounted amount of the cash or other consideration expected to be paid or received. However if the arrangements of a short term instrument constitute a financing transaction, like the payment of a trade debt deferred beyond normal business terms or financed at a rate of interest that is not a market rate or in the case of an out-right short-term loan not at market rate, the financial asset or liability is measured, initially, at the present value of the future cash flow discounted are a market rate of interest for a similar debt instrument and subsequently at amortised cost.

Total fixed asset investments comprise:Interest in subsidiary undertaking £107,056 £107,056The company owns 90% of the issued ordinary share capital of Carousel Consultancy Limited, which company operates an employment agency and is registered in England.At 31 December 2021 the aggregate capital and reserves of Carousel Consultancy Limited was £314,365 (2020: £182,160) and the profit for the financial year ended on that date was £177,205 (2020: £38,653). At 31 December 2021 at 31 December 2020 Carousel Consultancy Limited owned 100% of the issued share capital of Lilywhite63 Limited.
