Basis of measurement and preparation
These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of Section 1A (Small Entities) of Financial Reporting Standard 102 Turnover policy
Turnover for the period comprises the value of subscriptions, donations, ticket sales and advertising income. Other accounting policies
Administrative expenses for the period comprise banking, web hosting and Companies House fees.

Company activities and impact
Throughout 2021 the company continued to distribute its "Britain's First City" tourism leaflet to promote the Colchester area as well as its leaflet highlighting local arts venues, heritage sites and independent businesses under the title "Visit / Shop / Eat / Sleep".In June 2021 the Company offered to carry out public consultation and compile a City Status application on behalf of Colchester Borough Council (CBC). In November 2021 the Company granted permission for CBC to reuse its intellectual property for the application, which was submitted to the Cabinet Office in December 2021.Promotion of Colchester as a visitor destination is of economic and social benefit to the community. City Status would also be of benefit to the community.
Consultation with stakeholders
The stakeholders of the company are those sections of the community that the company is intended to serve - the residents of, visitors to and workers in Colchester - and those organisations that represent them. Consultation with stakeholders and the benefiting community continues through social media and e-mailings.
