1.	STATUTORY INFORMATION

St. Columbkille's Tea Room Limited is a private company, limited by shares , registered in Scotland. The company's registered number and registered office address can be found on the Company Information page.

The presentation currency of the financial statements is the Pound Sterling (£).

2.	ACCOUNTING POLICIES

Basis of preparing the financial statements

These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with Financial Reporting Standard 102 "The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland" including the provisions of Section 1A "Small Entities" and the Companies Act 2006. The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention.

The director has decided the company is to cease trading. Financial assistance from the parish of St Columbkille's has been required for the last few years in order to meet ongoing costs. The going concern basis is not appropriate and the financial statements are not prepared on this basis.

Turnover

The turnover shown in the profit and loss account represents amounts invoiced during the year, exclusive of Value Added Tax.

Pension costs and other post-retirement benefits

The company operates a defined contribution pension scheme. Contributions payable to the company's pension scheme are charged to profit or loss in the period to which they relate.

6.	RELATED PARTY DISCLOSURES

The company is wholly owned by St Columbkille's Parish, Rutherglen.

At 31 December 2021 the company owed £3,966 to the parish (2020 - £13,655).

Director E McGuigan, provided payroll services through his accounting firm, Narplan. Fees charged in the year were £765 (2020 - £522) and provided on an arms length basis.

7.	FRC ETHICAL STANDARD - PROVISIONS AVAILABLE FOR SMALL ENTITIES

In common with many other businesses of our size and nature we use our auditors to assist with the preparation of the financial statements and tax returns.

8.	POST BALANCE SHEET EVENTS

As disclosed in the accounting policies note at Note 2, the director has decided to cease trading. The going concern basis is not appropriate and the financial statements are not prepared on this basis.
