| Turnover |
| Turnover is measured at the fair value of the consideration received or receivable, excluding discounts, rebates, value added tax and other sales taxes. |

| The company operates a defined contribution scheme in respect of the directors. The scheme and its assets are held by independent managers. The pension charge represents contributions due from the company and amounted to £3,000 (2018 £3,000). |

| Taxation for the period comprises current and deferred tax. Tax is recognised in the profit and loss, except to the extent that it relates to items recognised in other comprehensive income or directly in equity. |
| Current of deferred taxation assets and liabilities are not discounted. |
| Current tax is recognised at the amount of tax payable using the tax rates and laws that have been enacted or substantively enacted by the balance sheet date. |
| Profits and losses earned from LLP membership are taxable for the period covered by this report and may differ from the profits and losses reported in the financial statements. |
| Income from limited liability partnership membership |
| For accounting purposes, income is recognised from LLP's of which the company is a member, for the LLP's financial period ending in the company's financial period. |
| For taxation purposes, the company pays tax on the profit share received from the LLP's of which the company is a member, for the whole of the company's financial period. |
