    Basis of measurement and preparation

    These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of Section 1A (Small Entities) of Financial Reporting Standard 102

    Turnover policy

    Revenue is measured as the consideration received, net of VAT. Revenue is recognised when the significant risks and rewards of ownership have been transferred to the purchaser at legal completion.

    Property, including land held under development, acquired or being constructed for sale in the ordinary course of business, is held as stock and work in progress and is measured at the lower of cost and net realisable value.

    Work In Progress comprises of the invoiced value of the goods purchased and including labour.

5. Creditors: amounts falling due within one year note

At the year end, Castle Developments (Devon) Limited working capital loan from Swanmoor Limited, an unconnected company, amounted to £15,511.

Name of related party: Martin Young as WT Young and Son
Description of relationship:
The Director Martin Young trades as WT Young & Son, a builder and supplied services to Castle Developments (Devon) Limited for the building of private homes.
Description of the transaction:
During the course of the year, WT Young & Son, contracted with the company for the provision of supply of building services to Castle Developments (Devon) Limited. The value of the services provided, invoiced and paid during the course of the year amounted to £491,039.
