Balance sheet statements

For the year ending 31 March 2020 the company was entitled to exemption under section 477 of the Companies Act 2006 relating to small companies.

The members have not required the company to obtain an audit in accordance with section 476 of the Companies Act 2006.

The directors acknowledge their responsibilities for complying with the requirements of the Act with respect to accounting records and the preparation of accounts.

The members have agreed to the preparation of abridged accounts for this accounting period in accordance with Section 444(2A).

These accounts have been prepared in accordance with the provisions applicable to companies subject to the small companies regime.

The directors have chosen to not file a copy of the company’s profit & loss account.

These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of Financial Reporting Standard 101

Other accounting policies

The financial statements have been prepared in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and International Financial Reporting Interpretations Committee (IFRIC) interpretations endorsed by the European Union (EU) and with those parts of the Companies Act 2006 applicable to companies reporting under IFRS.

4. Changes in presentation and prior period adjustments

This is the first year that Blue Circle Life Limited has presented its results under IFRS. The last financial statements under FRS102 were for the year ended 31 March 2019. The date of transition to IFRS was 1 April 2018. The policies applied under the entity's previous accounting framework are not materially different to IFRS and have not impacted on equity or profit or loss.
