Notes to the Abbreviated Accounts
for the Year Ended 31 July 2014

1. ACCOUNTING POLICIES

Basis of preparing the financial statements
These accounts have been prepared on the going-concern basis, as the directors are of the opinion that, the company
shall be compensated for excess freight paid in the 9 year period to 31 December 2006, when certain airlines, with
whom the company had contracts at the time, are alleged to have formed a cartel and overcharged its customers.
Should the company, together with other other parties, win the case against the airlines concerned, the company
should benefit from the settlement, by approximately £400,000. This amount has not been provided in the accounts
due to the uncertainty of the timing of the payment.

The directors are also taking other steps to improve the cash flow and profitability of the company, and but due to
the unavailability of adequate working capital, have reluctantly suspended operations.

Accounting convention
The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention and in accordance with the
Financial Reporting Standard for Smaller Entities (effective April 2008).

Tangible fixed assets
Depreciation is provided at the following annual rates in order to write off each asset over its estimated useful life.

Plant and machinery - 25% on reducing balance
Fixtures & fittings - 25% on reducing balance

Deferred tax
Deferred tax is recognised in respect of all timing differences that have originated but not reversed at the balance
sheet date.

Foreign currencies
Assets and liabilities in foreign currencies are translated into sterling at the rates of exchange ruling at the balance
sheet date. Transactions in foreign currencies are translated into sterling at the rate of exchange ruling at the date of
transaction. Exchange differences are taken into account in arriving at the operating result.
