The principal activity of the LLP is that of providing marketing services. |
2. | ACCOUNTING POLICIES |
Basis of preparing the financial statements |
Turnover |
Turnover represents net invoiced sales of services, excluding value added tax, as adjusted for the effect of revenue |
recognition. |
In respect of service contracts, turnover is recognised when the right to consideration has been obtained through |
performance under each contract. Consideration accrues as contract activity progresses by reference to the value of the |
work performed. This complies with UITF Abstract 40 - Revenue Recognition and Service Contracts, issued by the ASB. |
Goodwill |
Goodwill which is not amortised, represents the remaining amount paid in connection with the acquisition of two |
businesses in 2008. |
Intangible assets |
Intangible assets are initially measured at cost. After initial recognition, intangible assets are measured at cost less any |
accumulated amortisation and any accumulated impairment losses. |
Tangible fixed assets |
Plant and machinery etc - between 15% and 25% on cost |
Hire purchase and leasing commitments |
Rentals paid under operating leases are charged to the profit and loss account as incurred. |
