1. Accounting policies
Basis of measurement and preparation of accounts
The accounts have been prepared under the historical cost convention and in accordance with applicable the Financial Reporting Standard for Smaller Entities (effective April 2008). Other accounting policies
Investment Properties:Investment properties are stated at their market value at the balance sheet date and no provision is made for depreciation in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard for Smaller Entities (effective April 2008). Such properties are held for their investment potential and not for consumption within the business. It is considered that this departure from the Companies Act 2006, requiring all properties to be depreciated, still provides a true and fair view of the accounts.
