The company is entitled to exemption from audit under Section 477 of the Companies Act 2006 for the year ended 30 June 2019.

The members have not required the company to obtain an audit of its financial statements for the year ended 30 June 2019 in accordance with Section 476 of the Companies Act 2006.

The director acknowledges his responsibilities for:

(a)	ensuring that the company keeps accounting records which comply with Sections 386 and 387 of the Companies Act 2006 and

(b)

preparing financial statements which give a true and fair view of the state of affairs of the company as at the end of each financial year and of its profit or loss for each financial year in accordance with the requirements of Sections 394 and 395 and which otherwise comply with the requirements of the Companies Act 2006 relating to financial statements, so far as applicable to the company.

The financial statements have been prepared and delivered in accordance with the provisions applicable to companies subject to the small companies regime.

In accordance with Section 444 of the Companies Act 2006, the Income Statement has not been delivered.

1.	STATUTORY INFORMATION

Stellawell Limited is a private company, limited by shares , registered in England and Wales. The company's

registered number and registered office address can be found on the Company Information page.

2.	ACCOUNTING POLICIES

Basis of preparing the financial statements

These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with Financial Reporting Standard 102 "The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland" including the provisions of Section 1A "Small Entities" and the Companies Act 2006. The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention as modified by the revaluation of certain assets.

Turnover

Turnover represents the dividend income from listed investments.

Financial instruments

Basic financial instruments as covered by Section 11 of FRS102 are measured at amortised cost. The company does

not have any Other financial instruments as covered by Section 12 of FRS102.

Fixed asset investments

Quoted investments are held as fixed assets and are stated at market value.

The classic car is stated at cost less provision for any permanent diminution in value.

At the year end listed investments had a cost of £2,529,813 (2018: £2,233,584) and unrealised revaluations of

£551,027 (2018: £450,121). The revaluation surplus is included within the Retained earnings figure shown on the

Balance Sheet.

At 30th June 2019 the aggregate market value of listed investments (all of which are listed on worldwide recognised

investment exchanges) was £3,080,840 (2018: £2,683,705). During the year the company changed its accounting

policy and now shows its listed investments at market value rather than cost.

7.	RELATED PARTY DISCLOSURES

The company occupies premises owned by Charlbury Investments Limited, a fellow group company. Rent of

£12,000 was paid during the year (2018: £12,000). At 30 June 2019 Charlbury Investments Limited was owed by the

company £81,999 (2018: £69,999).

Management charges of £6,720 (2018: £6,720) were paid to Charlbury Holdings Limited, the parent company. At 30

June 2019 Charlbury Holdings Limited was owed by the company £787,330 (2018: £780,610).
