1. | ACCOUNTING POLICIES |
Basis of preparing the financial statements |
The accounts have been prepared on a going concern basis because the directors have formed a judgement, at the |
time of approving the financial statements, that it is appropriate to adopt this basis. The company is dependent of |
the support of its directors and shareholders. The company is supported by a loan from Rochester Independent |
College Limited as detailed in note 13. |
Accounting convention |
The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention and in accordance with the |
Financial Reporting Standard for Smaller Entities (effective April 2008). |
Turnover |
Turnover comprises of revenue recognised by the company in respect of rental income during the year, exclusive |
of Value Added Tax. |

Investment property is shown at most recent valuation. Any aggregate surplus or deficit arising from changes in |
market value is transferred to a revaluation reserve. |
