1Accounting Policies

Basis of measurement and preparation of accounts
The accounts have been prepared under the historical cost convention and in the full accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard for Smaller Entities (effective April 2008).

The accounts have been prepared in accordance with the Technical release 03/11 Residential Service Charge Accounts published jointly by the professional accountancy bodies, ARMA and RICS.

Following the advice in this technical release, service charge monies that are received from the residents of Harford Way are held on trust for the residents and the relating expenditure on maintenance of the common parts, in accordance with the lease, are shown in separate service charge accounts for the property that do not form part of annual accounts of the company.
