1. ACCOUNTING POLICIES |
1a. Basis Of Accounting | ||||||||
The accounts have been prepared under the historical cost convention. | ||||||||
The accounts have been prepared in accordance with FRS102 - The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland and the Companies Act 2006 . |
1b. Depreciation | ||||||||
Depreciation is provided, after taking account of any grants receivable, at 2% per annum in order to write off each asset over its estimated useful life. | ||||||||
1c. Investments | ||||||||
Investments held as fixed assets are stated at cost, together with subsequent capital contributions, less any provisions for impairment in value. Investment income is recognised in the financial statements when the comapny becomes entitled to share its profits from the fixed asses investment. |

10. CONTINGENT LIABILITIES | ||||||||
The company is a member of Cophet LLP and is liable to the assets of the LLP in the event of a winding up before 1 April 2022. The maximum liability in relation to this undertaking is £60,887 (2018 - £60,883). The company does not believe that a winding up of the LLP is probable and has not made a provision for the liability at 31 March 2019. | ||||||||
11. EMPLOYEE OWNERSHIP TRUST | ||||||||
During 2013 the Company established an employee ownership trust, The Dartford Property Investments Ltd Employee Ownership Trust. Under the terms of the trust deed the shareholders of the Company are excluded beneficiaries of the Trust such that the Trustees may not apply the Trust property for their benefit. | ||||||||
