Report to the director on the preparation of the unaudited statutory accounts of Llangynwyd Electrical Contractors Limited For The Year Ended 30 April 2019
To assist you to fulfil your duties under the Companies Act 2006, I have prepared for your approval the accounts of Llangynwyd Electrical Contractors Limited which comprise the Profit and Loss Account, the Balance Sheet and the related notes, from the company’s accounting records and from information and explanations you have given us.
As a practising member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, we are subject to its ethical and other professional requirements which are detailed at http://www.accaglobal.com/en/member/professional-standards/rules-standards/acca-rulebook.html.

Accounting Policies
1.1.
Basis of Preparation of Financial Statements
The financial statements are prepared under the historical cost convention and in accordance with the FRS 102 Section 1A Small Entities - The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland and the Companies Act 2006.
The financial statements are presented in Sterling which is the functional currency of the company. Monetary amounts in these financial statements are rounded to the nearest £.
Critical accounting estimates & judgements
The significant accounting policies applied in the application of these financial statements are set out below. These policies have been consistently applied to all years presented unless otherwise stated.
No significant judgements have had to be made by the director in preparing these financial statements.

Financial Instruments
Debtors
Short term debtors are measured at transaction price (which is usually the invoice price), less any impairment losses for bad and doubtful debts. Loans and other financial assets are initially recognised at transaction price including any transaction costs and subsequently measured at amortised cost determined using the effective interest method, less any impairment losses for bad and doubtful debts.
